Downtown, along Brand and Central, most people live in mid-rise and high-rise apartment buildings: move-in dust, large windows, one or two baths, and building rules about when the service elevator can be used. Above the 134, neighborhoods like Verdugo Woodlands and Chevy Chase Canyon are older houses on slopes and curves, with wood floors, tile, and windows that look out at the Verdugo Mountains. A downtown unit is a tight, fast clean. A canyon house is a longer visit with more glass and more stairs. We quote them separately so neither one is a guess.
